Garmin says the pup n I went 4.57m today in 1h3m19s at an average pace of 13:51. It was an early morning, cool, and just as the sun broke, so while I didn’t use a headlamp, I put the lights on the pups collar.
I made an oops, and you’ll notice in that initial break less than a mile into our outing. I realized the poo bag holder on the lease was empty, and she needed to go. I coached her back to the house for a quick round-the-block loop, and she went in the yard right out front. I could pop in, grab a new roll, and head back out quickly. Overall, we did pretty good. On our trail, we went to the first main road, which does entail a slight incline, even if the graphs below don’t show that much.
If you combine the time in the am with a mile n a half we did this evening with the Mrs, we’ll have exceeded five miles in a day, and that is a good milestone to pass. We used to do that nearly every day at the beginning of the summer, so now that we caught up, it will be a matter of seeing how long we can keep this streak going.
