The Mrs wants to restart her training runs, and today was the beginning for her. The stats below are for me, but she, I, and the pup wet out just before sunset for a three-mile run.

I included my Garmin data, but when we run, we are together, so short of the pup sniff breaks, you get the idea.

Unfortunately, her heart rate spiked at the two-mile mark, and she was dizzy. Two miles was after she took a potty break (the long gap in the chart below while I waited outside.) After that, she had to switch from a run walk to a walk to keep her heart rate in check so she didn’t pass out and fall.

Sure, I suggested we could pause while she took a break, but she is a bit stubborn, and that was not her preferred training strategy, so we pressed on.

We turned back, and home was 2.5 miles in, not three, but hey, it is a mile n a half more than she has been walking, so score a win on progress!

Oh, and the anniversary turned out great! Great being that I found a card, wrote her a letter, and bolted to pick up the flowers I ordered all before she got out of bed! Too bad the florist was closed, the card was one I had as a spare, so not the best, and the letter was typed on the computer so I could fit it in with the card.

The letter made her morning, because in it I explained everything I did, and owned up to what I didn’t do. It was cute and funny and made her giggle, so all in all it was a great day.

Tomorrow, we start a new week.
